ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather provides a 2-year associate degree program designed to train qualified intermediate staff needed in Türkiye’s textile and ready-wear industries. The department aims to equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills related to textile, apparel, footwear, and leather production processes, and to ensure that they can use both traditional and modern technologies in the design and production stages.
Thanks to practice-oriented courses conducted in our workshops and laboratories, students have the opportunity to closely observe the machinery and technologies used in the sector and actively participate in production processes. In addition, collaborations with local industrial organizations provide students with internship and work-experience opportunities.
The department includes the Hemp Weaving Program (Kenevir Dokumacılığı Programı).
