Carpet and Kilim Weaving Program
• Theoretical courses are offered in areas such as the history of Turkish carpet and kilim art, pattern knowledge, textile materials, and dyeing technologies.
• Practical training is provided in pattern drawing, natural dyeing, and weaving techniques. Students gain sectoral experience through a compulsory 30-day internship program, where they have the opportunity to observe and practice carpet and kilim production processes directly in workshop and factory environments.

• Technical proficiency in carpet and kilim pattern design, weaving techniques, and natural dyeing
• Entrepreneurship skills and the ability to manage production processes
• Capacity to develop innovative and sustainable projects in the field of handicrafts
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates of the program earn the title “Carpet–Kilim Technician” and can work in:
• Public institutions (Public Education Centers, municipalities, cultural centers) • Private sector workshops and factories • Art and design projects
They may also work as pattern designers, quality control specialists, and master instructors, or establish their own workshops and operate as independent entrepreneurs.
